Metabolic & Exercise Physiology
Lab Research Portfolio

Our Mission
The Metabolic and Exercise Physiology Lab (MEPL) at Binghamton University offers undergraduate student researchers the unique chance to decode the physiological systems which drive the human body. MEPL offers the ability to connect the dots between metabolic metrics and everyday human experience. Through the application of both metabolic and aerobic testing in conjunction with behavioral tracking (using validated survey assessments) our research reveals the ways in which sleep, stress, diet, and environment influence metabolism. Members of our lab showcase a commitment to advancing research as it relates to young adults and collegiate populations. MEPL offers a setting where highly motivated and detail-oriented student researchers can uphold the integrity of our research team. In doing so we seek to attract those individuals who thrive under pressure and a challenging high-performance environment. It is our aim to train feature leaders in healthcare and research.
